Unless You See…

God is at work, even when we cannot see:  Leave it to God, and labour on.  That’s the big idea in this final message on John 4, from verses 43-54, which we looked at this Canada Day.  Listen or watch below…

Word of Mouth

If we don’t tell people about Jesus, how will they know?  That’s the thrust of this message, in which we look at why we don’t share our faith, and why we should.  You can watch or listen below to this message, based on John 4.39-42.  (The video shown near the beginning of the message can be viewed separately here.)

Resistance

One of the realities of human existence that is taught to us in the story of Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4.16-20 is that when confronted with uncomfortable questions, we often put up resistance. How can we avoid that, and be truthful with ourselves and others? Watch or listen here:

Encountering the Word

One of the things we learn from Jesus in his encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well is that he was good at finding ways to introduce spiritual conversations.  In this message, based on John 4.10-15, we learn that if we want to help people put Jesus first, we need to know their thirst.  Watch or listen below:

Crossing the Line

It seems that our differences have become greater today, that the gap between us in varying opinions has grown wider.  But as followers of Jesus, we are called to bridge that gap, to cross the line, so that we can reach people with the gospel.

As you listen to or watch this message, make sure you do so to the end, for if you stop part-way through, you will miss the most important part.  It’s based on the beginning of the story of Jesus’ encounter with a Samaritan woman at a well, from John 4.1-9 (with a nod to 2 Kings 17.21-24).
