The Means of Grace

There’s lots about the life of the church that we do but would be hard pressed to explain.  One of those things is the Lord’s Supper.  In this message, I CB064070seek to help us understand a little bit more about what it means to share together in Communion.  The Eucharist is, for us, the means of grace.

Based on 1 Corinthians 11.17-34, you can listen to the message by clicking here.

  1. I read the book, GIVEN FOR YOU – Reclaiming Calvin’s Doctrine of the Lord’s Supper, by Keith A. Mathison and never want to miss partaking in the Lord’s supper again. As R.C. Sproul commented in the forward of this book, “This volume represents the best and most comprehensive treatment of the Lord’s Supper I have ever seen.” Read it and see just how correct Sproul is.

  2. Janet, thanks for the comment, and the book recommendation. I haven’t read it, but there’s every likelihood I would agree with him wholeheartedly. I’ll look it up and put it on my want list. (Sigh. So much to read, so little time.) Blessings.
