very good i find people like to pick a sin that is not their problem and then judge people about it. it's easy to pick a sin that you are not tempted about and pick it to judge about. thanks

Thanks for your comment, Jake. It's possible that these were just replicas, but my suspicion is that they were the real thing. Did you see how they were kept in very secure, carefully-lit glass/plexiglas displays? There was no way anybody's hands were touching them! I think if they had been replicas, they could have been under ordinary lighting and in less secure containers.

It was a big deal for these to be transported anywhere outside Jerusalem. Plus, there were only a few scroll fragments to be seen - there will be more in the fall. I think they were the real McCoy. Hope this helps!

question....My wife & I just returned from Toronto & saw the Dead Sea Scrolls @ the ROM, though my son tells us that what we saw were simply replicas since the originals would be too valuable to move around on display...

Any thoughts on this

thanks

You're right, Cynthia - most churches don't have the budget to compete against Hollywood. It's about different values. One of the things I said in my message was that authenticity - being real - is what makes the difference (and clearly sets us apart from Hollywood!).

Good points, Doris. Why do some believe that church has to be hum-drum in order for it to be 'worshipful'? Thanks for sharing from your years of experience!
